Coach Denykco Bowles attended CI Gibson Sr. High where he graduated in 2006. Immediately after, he attended and played his collegiate basketball Northeast Community College (NJCAA-D1) in Nebraska (2006-2008) where he obtained an Associates of Arts Degree in General Social Science. He then continued his studies and basketball career at the Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (S.I.U.E-NCAA-D1) where he obtained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Economics with a Minor in Communications (2008-2010). To current, Coach Bowles is a Physical Educator at the Doris Johnson (Mystic Marlins) Senior High School in Nassau, Bahamas; where he started in 2013. Almost automatically, he picked up the mantle and was steered to the school’s Senior Boys Basketball Team, where his passion and undying love for the game took over. As he became more and more involved with his students and players, he realized that there was a need to not just develop players' fundamental basketball skills, but help create avenues for them to excel holistically as student athletes. His vision then breathed life into The International Basketball Academy in 2014; where he has experienced challenges like all organizations. His continued passion, drive and perseverance have placed him in positions to excel through adversity. Having being pressed, he along with his team, continues to strive for and pursue excellence! Along with his many accolades both locally and internationally, Coach Bowles is proven to have the winning formula for basketball especially at the High School Level within the country. As one of the Bahamas’ Jr. National Basketball Team Assistant Coaches, his continued passion, drive and perseverance have placed him in positions to excel through adversity. Having being pressed, he along with his team, continues to strive for and pursue excellence!
